Traveling with a Disability Series

I can hardly believe that it is the beginning of August! This summer is passing by quickly and it will be time to go back to work at the end of the month. One of my favorite activities has always been traveling, especially during the summer when I have time off. My husband is my favorite travel companion and helps me on our adventures. This summer I was invited on an unexpected trip that I would need to travel to the destination solo. The trip was too good to pass up and decided to go on this adventure by myself. I was excited to embark on this trip but was also anxious as well. This was my first trip and plane ride by myself. I pushed past my hesitation and decided to embark on this journey. I was so glad that I decided to go.
Going on the trip helped me to learn, grow, and stretch in so many ways. During the month of August, the focus of the blog will be traveling with a disability. Each week I will have a blog post about traveling with one and tips to make it possible. I will also be sharing some of the pictures from my trips this summer and some of my favorite vacations in the past. I also want to hear from you too the forum will have a different question each week about travel. Share your tips for traveling with a disability. We will also discuss our favorite trips, the most memorable trips, and places we would like to visit someday.  My hope is that people will not let anything get in their way from traveling. There is so much of the world to see and experience. Enjoy the rest of your summer and may you fill it with lots of memories!
